I knew after visiting your store and ponds that I was going to get a beautiful pond. What I got was beyond my expectations. Mike and everyone who works at Backyard Concepts are exceptional. A small army showed up at my place on Wednesday and by Thursday evening Mike's Dad and I were transferring my Koi from a rusty leaking horse trough (their home for four years) to fish heaven with cascading water falls, plenty of plants and their own fish cave to hide. The best part is to go out at night, turn on the lights to feed the fish. I find myself and the dogs watching them for hours. Thank you!!

One of the first steps Mike took was to assess where our waterfall should be properly located within property boundaries. What amazed my wife and I was the installation in one day. Just wanted to write and say thank you for the wonderful and magnificent job you and your crew did on my Pondless water feature. I really had a bad experience with a company in Denton that started on a project “Pondless pond” in June ‘05 and still had not been completed in March ‘06.
My husband saw your ad in the paper, contacted you, and within two days you were there evaluating the situation and suggested we start over from scratch. You went into detail on what you thought should be done and listened to what we wanted. Never did I anticipate that the job would be completed in less than two days. My Pondless water feature is absolutely breathtaking! It’s beautiful in the daytime, but when the sun goes down and the lights come on, there is no other relaxing place I would rather be!

Building a water feature is like opening a box of chocolates -- you never know what you are going to get. There are no blueprints, sketches or diagrams to follow because every Oklahoma moss boulder, every Colorado river rock, and every landscape topography is different. Maybe a picture or two for ideas but it ends up being a matter of creativity, trust and handshake between you and the builder.
Mike Marcom from Backyard Concepts is the person we chose to build our “Pondless Waterfall.” We saw a passion in him for doing a great job. He was factual, punctual, and there was a connection between him and his crew. They all worked together and the work went smoothly.

I just wanted to send you a thank you note for all your hard work installing and maintaining my new pond. It had to be the hottest day of the year when all of you installed the pond in front of my home. But nonetheless, you all kept working until it was completely finished, and we appreciated everything you did.
I sit on my porch and enjoy the sounds of the waterfall and watch the fish swimming. It has become my refuge and my tranquility of peace. Everyone that comes to our home comments on the beauty and joins me just sitting and relaxing on the porch. Even my cats love to just sit and watch the fish and the water cascading down into the pond.

I contacted Mike in February to help me with a plan to use my grandfather’s antique syrup pot to make a water garden out of.
